"Al-Jawab al-Sahih liman baddala dina al-Masih" by Sheikh al-Islam Abu al-Abbas Taqi al-Din Ahmad ibn Abd al-Halim ibn Taymiyyah al-Harrani (d. 728 AH) is considered one of the mother books in Islamic literature concerning comparative religion and the refutation of Christian doctrines. This verified edition features a scholarly study and critical analysis by a group of prominent academics Dr. Ali ibn Hasan ibn Nasir, Dr. Abd al-Aziz ibn Ibrahim al-Askar and Dr. Hamdan ibn Muhammad al-Hamdan published by Dar Al-Asimah for Publishing and Distribution.

The first volume of the book begins with a dedicated Study and Verification Section, which provides an extensive biography of the author, covering his lineage, upbringing, scholars, students, struggles, scholarly legacy and the praise he received up until his death. It also offers a detailed review of the direct and indirect reasons that prompted Ibn Taymiyyah to compose this book, along with a precise description of the approved manuscripts and the verification methodology utilized. Following this, the book delves into its core subject through an anchored theological introduction establishing major principles. Most notably, it asserts that the religion of all prophets is fundamentally one which is Islam (in the sense of monotheism and submission to Allah) and clarifies the ruling on those who differentiate between the messengers. It also uncovers the causes behind the manifestation of faith, warns against the innovations of Jews and Christians and outlines the systematic academic approach the author adopted to deconstruct and refute the false claims found in their texts (such as the Letter of Paul).

Furthermore, the author dedicates a significant portion to refuting Christian doubts regarding the prophethood of Muhammad ﷺ, particularly their claim that his message was exclusively for the Arabs and not universal. Ibn Taymiyyah presents a detailed rebuttal invalidating this claim of exclusivity, demonstrates the proofs of the Prophet’s truthfulness, and dismantles the notion of ""cosmic sending"" and the division among the People of the Book, citing the delegations of tribes and kings as definitive proof of the universality of the Islamic call.

Finally, the volume concludes by listing the evidences for the universality of Muhammad's message ﷺ and the innovations of the People of the Book. It highlights historical proofs such as the conversion of the Negus (King of Abyssinia) the conversion of Arab Christians, and the Prophet's dispatches to the world's kings and factions during his era. This is presented alongside textual evidence from the Quran and Sunnah, tracing the historical emergence of innovations and sectarian divisions among Christians in contrast to the unified consensus of Muslims. It ultimately concludes by dismantling various misconceptions, showcasing the miracles of the Prophet ﷺ and invalidating Christian attempts to utilize certain Quranic verses to justify their beliefs or restrict his message solely to the Arabs.
