Summary of Prayer Ablution and its Nullifiers

"The book "Summary of the Description of Prayer" (which also includes a guide on ablution and its nullifiers) is a simplified and practical jurisprudential manual aimed at teaching Muslims the rulings of the two most important practical pillars of Islam: Ablution (Wudu) and Prayer (Salah). In an easy-to-follow manner, the book covers the method of proper purification, how to perform ablution, and what invalidates it. It then transitions to detail the description of the Prophet’s prayer step-by-step; starting from preparation, intention, and the opening Takbeer, moving through the recitation, bowing (Rukoo'), prostration (Sujood) and the Testimonies (Tashahhud), up to the final Salutation (Tasleem). Additionally, it emphasizes spiritual aspects such as "tranquility and humility" and dedicates specific rulings for certain groups, such as the "prayer of women.""

The book "Summary of the Description of Prayer" is a practical and simplified jurisprudential guide of about 92 pages, designed in a sequential educational style to serve as a comprehensive reference for Muslims in fulfilling the two most important practical pillars of Islam. The book begins by paving the way for prayer through its essential gate, which is purification; its opening sections feature "The Facilitator in the Description of Ablution" to explain its correct steps as prescribed in the Prophet's Sunnah, followed by "The Facilitator in the Nullifiers of Ablution" to clarify the four matters that invalidate it. It then transitions to the preparation phase for prayer by explaining the rulings on walking to it with tranquility and dignity and how to establish the intention (Niyyah) in the heart.

Following this, the book dives into its core subject matter by detailing the description of prayer step-by-step. It starts with entering the prayer via the opening Takbeer (Takbeerat al-Ihram) and demonstrating the correct posture for the hands and the gaze during standing (Qiyam). It then reviews the verbal aspects, such as the various authentic opening supplications (Du'a al-Istiftah), seeking refuge, the Basmalah and the rulings on reciting Surah Al-Fatihah as an essential pillar, while clarifying matters of silent and loud recitation, saying "Ameen" and reciting what is easy from the Quran thereafter along with the jurisprudence of lengthening the recitation.

The book also precisely addresses the Takbeers of transition and the physical pillars like bowing (Rukoo') and rising from it, and prostration (Sujood) and rising from it, leading to the second unit (Rak'ah) and what is exempted within it. Furthermore, it dedicates clear space to detail the postures of sitting and the first and final Testimonies (Tashahhud), showcasing the various authentic manners of hand placement during Tashahhud and rising from it, before concluding with the rulings of the final Salutation (Tasleem) to exit the prayer.

In its concluding chapters, the book focuses on the jurisprudential and spiritual complements of prayer, dedicating a special section to "tranquility and humility (Khushu')" which represent the core and essence of worship, alongside the rulings on placing a barrier (Sutrah) in front of the person praying. It concludes by outlining the specific rulings and manners regarding the "prayer of women" making this book an integrated practical manual that avoids complex scholastic disputes to bring the correct form of worship closer to every Muslim man and woman.
