The "Translation of the Meanings of the Noble Qur'an in the English Language" is a landmark scholarly work published by the King Fahd Complex. Its significance lies in its rigorous methodology; the translators did not merely translate words but integrated meanings with explanations derived from classical, authoritative exegesis (Tafsir) such as those by Al-Tabari, Al-Qurtubi, and Ibn Kathir, alongside authentic Sahih Al-Bukhari narrations. This approach ensures that the meanings are conveyed accurately according to the creed of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah. As shown in the documents, the work carries immense credibility, having been approved by the Presidency of Islamic Research and Ifta, led by Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Baz, and published under the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, the book is rich in educational supplements, featuring specialized appendices on Monotheism (Tawhid), Prophethood, and a comprehensive glossary of Islamic terms, making it an essential reference for English-speaking Muslims and researchers of divine revelation.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan
Translator
Dr. Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali and Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan are considered among the most prominent scientific figures who served the Islamic library in the modern era through their efforts in translating Sharia texts into the English language. Dr. Al-Hilali was born in Morocco in 1893 and emerged as a linguist and Hadith scholar who traveled the world, including India, Iraq, and Germany, to seek knowledge and teach. He was known for his mastery of several international languages, which enabled him to convey meanings with high accuracy. As for Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan, he was a physician of Afghan origin born in Pakistan in 1927, specializing in chest diseases in Britain before moving to work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he managed the University Hospital at the Islamic University of Madinah.
Their close collaboration resulted in the production of "The Noble Qur'an", which is classified as one of the most widely circulated and reliable English translations in the world, in addition to their complete translation of Sahih Al-Bukhari. Dr. Al-Hilali passed away in 1987 in Casablanca, while Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan passed away in 2021 in Madinah, where he was buried in Al-Baqi, leaving behind a scientific legacy that contributed to facilitating the understanding of Islam for millions of English speakers worldwide.
