Jesus: Christian or Muslim?

"A distinctive research book in the field of comparative religion, in which the author seeks to answer a fundamental question regarding the true religion of Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) and the nature of his worship and legislation. The book relies on a detailed and applied comparison between what was stated in previous texts and divine laws and the rulings and legislations of the Islamic religion. By tracking the rituals and daily behaviors of the prophets such as the nature of prayer, fasting, purification, as well as social and dietary rulings it demonstrates that the essence of Christ's call and practices was completely identical to the comprehensive concept of "Islam" which is total submission to the will of the one and only God."

This book presents a foundational comparative study that dives deep into the details of the devotional and legislative life of Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him). The author proceeds from a main premise that all prophets shared one and the same religion, which is Islam in its comprehensive sense based on complete submission to the will of the one and only God. He demonstrates this through detailed evidence that combines doctrinal, ritual and social dimensions. In the doctrinal and theological aspect, the book reviews the status of Christ as a messenger and prophet of God, examining monotheism, the reality of terms such as "sons of God" and "salvation and the savior" and the issue of absolute knowledge and miracles, while commenting on the position of divine laws regarding idols, images and crosses. It also meticulously tracks the form of worship practiced by Christ and the prophets, demonstrating its conformity with Islamic worship, including the posture of prayerm such as prostrating by placing the forehead on the ground and raising the palms and its rulings, such as removing shoes before prayer, dedicating specific times for daily prayers, and facing a specific direction (the Qiblah), as well as the rulings of purification through washing, and the legislation of fasting and circumcision. The book then moves on to address the regulations of daily and social life, such as food and drink, the prohibition of alcoholic beverages and pork, methods of slaughter, and the prohibition of eating meat with its blood, alongside organizing appearance and family by addressing the issue of women's hijab, polygamy, the prohibition of adultery and usury, and the mandate of leaving the beard and wearing long garments. The book concludes its chapters with an important documentary study that examines the prophecies concerning the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (peace be upon him), in the Old Testament, and traces the linguistic roots of the word "Muslim" and how it is mentioned in text and meaning in the Torah and the Gospel, making this work a powerful demonstrative guide that addresses the intellect and serves as an excellent reference in the field of comparative religion.
