Romance in Islam

"The book "Romance in Islam" is a unique educational and social guide that highlights the emotional and humanitarian aspects of Islamic law and married life. The book explores the concept of the "Romantic Muslim" by tracing the fragrant prophetic biography, illustrating how Prophet Muhammad ﷺ treated his wives and household with love, playfulness, mercy and mutual appreciation. It also offers practical advice and parental guidance for husbands and wives to build a stable and happy family, conclusively proving that Islam is a religion that encourages deep affection as well as emotional and physical harmony within the framework of lawful marriage."

The book "Romance in Islam" (El Romanticismo en el Islam) is a social and religious study aimed at dismantling the flawed stereotype that restricts the marital relationship in Islam to dry rights and duties. Instead, it proves that Islam established a refined and comprehensive emotional system based on affection, mercy and true romance. The book begins by establishing the concept of the "Romantic Muslim" to illustrate how a believer translates their faith into behaviors overflowing with gentleness and beauty toward their partner. It then moves on to present an educational and social dimension by reviewing golden pieces of advice shared on the wedding day, such as a Muslim father's advice to his son to be a supportive and loving partner, and a Muslim mother's advice to her daughter to guide her toward building a stable home based on mutual respect. The book dedicates its largest portion to highlighting the daily interactions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ with his wives as the ultimate practical model. It showcases how the Prophet ﷺ shared joy, laughter, permissible entertainment and overlooked mistakes with patience and flexibility. Furthermore, it details the precise emotional and spiritual aspects, such as the explicit expression of love, the exchange of affectionate words, and the consideration of feelings even in the most intimate details of private married life like bathing together, kissing, and sharing food and drink to enhance closeness. In conclusion, the book emphasizes that this work is not merely rigid texts, but rather a practical and psychological life guide proving that romance and mindfulness of emotions lie at the very heart of Islamic teachings and the honorable Prophetic Sunnah.
