""Fasting and Zakat" is a concise and educational fiqh guide translated into Chinese, based on the rulings and verdicts of Sheikh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Othaymin, and published by the Cooperative Office for Call and Guidance in Rabwah, Riyadh. The book aims to provide a simplified and comprehensive explanation of two essential pillars of Islam. It covers the textual evidence for fasting and Zakat, their spiritual and legal wisdoms, rules for those with valid excuses (such as the sick and travelers), invalidators of fasting, and the rulings of Taraweeh prayers, alongside detailing the eight eligible categories for Zakat distribution and the rules of Zakat al-Fitr, serving as an accessible reference to help Chinese-speaking Muslims perform these noble acts of worship correctly."

"Fasting and Zakat" serves as a comprehensive and accessible jurisprudential guide designed for Chinese speakers, drawn from the Islamic rulings and legal opinions of Sheikh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Othaymin, under the supervision of the Cooperative Office for Call and Guidance in Rabwah, Riyadh. Across its eight chapters, the book systematically explores two major pillars of Islam, beginning with an introduction to the significance of acts of worship, followed by the textual evidence for fasting from the Quran and Sunnah, as well as the spiritual and educational wisdom behind its obligation. It then addresses legal concessions for individuals with valid excuses, such as the sick and travelers, details the acts that invalidate the fast and covers the rulings concerning night prayers (Taraweeh) during Ramadan. Furthermore, the book examines the financial pillar of Islam by discussing Zakat, its economic and social benefits and the eight prescribed categories of recipients, concluding with the rulings, timing, and quantities of Zakat al-Fitr, thereby forming a complete scholarly and practical reference that empowers Chinese-speaking Muslims to understand their faith and fulfill their religious duties accurately according to the Quran and Sunnah.
